If you are dancing we can operate at 50% capacity so 165 upstairs and 135 down.
If you are not dancing you can have 75% of capacity
What are the COVID-19 guidelines?
Starting September 22nd
Due to provincial public health direction, you will be required to provide proof of full vaccination or proof of a negative antigen test (taken within the past 48 hours) plus photo ID to ensure that scan belongs to them for any indoor part of the wedding. For more information, visit ontario.ca.
Starting October 12th
Only fully vaccinated guests (both doses plus 14 days) will be allowed, negative tests will no longer be accepted as per provincial public health.
The ceremony will be outdoors (and vaccination or test are not required for that part). However, if there is rain the ceremony will move indoors where vaccination/test will be required.
Do vendors have to be vaccinated?
The government is not mandating this but we (Hernder Estate Wines) will require a negative antigen test (taken within the past 48 hours) plus photo ID. This will apply starting September 22nd and even after October 12th.
How do I provide proof of vaccination?
You can provide proof of immunization by downloading or printing your vaccine receipt from the provincial booking portal. Photo ID will also be required to make sure the proof of vaccination belongs to that person. Should your guests not be able to both these 2 items they will not be refused entry inside and we will not be able to reimburse you.
Where can I get a COVID-19 rapid antigen test?
COVID-19 rapid antigen tests are available at select Shoppers Drug Marts in Ontario. For more information, visit shoppersdrugmart.ca or call your local pharmacy.
The biggest question, what happens if my wedding is cancelled due to a pandemic? All wedding retainers cannot be refunded but 100% will be applied to a new date (even if you have to reschedule 2-3 times).
Viewing is allowed Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm and Saturdays 11-3pm.. When viewing we ask minimal people come with social distancing (preferably from the same home if possible). We have wifi if you want to facetime or zoom with your loved ones while here.

If you’re looking to get married on the property, we have 3 locations to choose from. Book the lawn in front of the pond and covered bridge or use our huge field stone patio to say “I DO”. Worried about the weather, no fear, we have an inside contingency.
NEW for 2021 we will have a white pergola with flower garden.

We can accommodate a 2 person elopement to a 300 guest wedding.
Hernder houses a fully staffed commerical kitchen and liquor license for the halls and patios.
FREE Ceremonies are available on our field stone patio or on the lawn in front of the pond.
Two air conditioned halls to choose from complete with wooden chairs and your choice of linen.
Both rooms have a rustic barn elegance with stone, pine, twinkle lights and fireplaces.
Your DJ and socan fee is also included with cocktail music, dinner music and dancing till 1am.

Summer PackagesJune - December
- Available Monday-Thursday from 2-12 people. This includes your ceremony space and backdrop for photos as well as a Hernder’s event co-ordinator.
- Should you want to stay after the ceremony for food and drinks just let us know your thoughts and we can give you a quote! We can help you with an officiant, photographer, and a florist depending on what your needs are.
The DJ is included with your minimum numbers in our summer package. Should you want to contact the administrator for your username and password contact email@example.com the year of your wedding only. Just because we include the DJ doesn’t mean you dont have a say, you get to pick all your own intos, first dances, must play, the if you can and the absolutely not! You choose everything and we do it for you, its that simple.

Elopements 2-50 people
Ceremony fee Monday-Thursday is $500 plus hst and $750 plus hst for Friday, Saturday & Sunday for stand up ceremony with a barrel for signing, (Chairs $100 extra, Arch $75 plus hst) Pictures are allowed around the premise afterwards.
Co-ordinator fee for the service $125 plus hst
Glass of Fizzy Business following the service for $6.50 per person
Lunch and Dinner packages are also available, email firstname.lastname@example.org for pricing.
Rental Items Available on a first come basis $75 plus hst (the arches comes plain, its up to you or your florist to decorate)
